GRADES K5 - 5th [grouped by grade]
During Explorers Outpost students will navigate through a day designed by artists and educators. Their multifaceted days will be focused on
the three E’s:
Programming includes daily enrichment activities in the fine arts, culinary arts, engineering & math, and sciences as well as plenty opportunities for pure fun and exercise, museum exploration, and outdoor play. Each day, students will complete their virtual classwork and attend virtual school inside their Outpost classroom.
Greenville Explorers will provide:
Technical assistance: We will help children navigate their technology and log into any virtual programs needed.
Learning Space: Students will have an area with internet connection, outlets and access to supplies.
Group guided assistance: Students will be assisted in connecting with their virtual eLearning SCDOE teacher for the times required by their grade, school, and enrolled program. Counselors will monitor our explorers in a group setting as they engage with their eLearning teachers. The team will offer immediate assistance when needed, relay information to parents regarding their classwork, and supervise their virtual eLearning participation.
Project supplies: Explorers will provide classroom materials to complete homework assignments or special projects. We have you covered and will provide items needed in a classroom setting.
✓ Googly eyes for that diorama
✓ Blue construction paper for the ocean project
✓ Purple paint for their recreation of a Picasso masterpiece
Explorers should bring with them:
✓ Technology for students to use for eLearning
✓ Back to school supplies requested by teachers In an effort to avoid sharing, we ask that each guardian provide high touch materials such as pencils, notebooks, scissors, rulers, crayons, etc. Each student will have a storage area to hold their personal supplies.
